Annie Refermat is a graduate of Williams College, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and completed pre-medical coursework. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted social psychology research investigating the relationship between mental imagery, empathy, and memory processes related to facial recognition. She was awarded a summer research fellowship to study child and adolescent anxiety interventions at the University of Copenhagen. 

Through her research and clinical experiences in dermatology and hematology/oncology, Annie developed an interest in the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and clinical care. She is particularly interested in understanding the developmental factors that influence child and adolescent health and advancing accessible, evidence-based interventions for vulnerable populations. Outside of research, Annie was a four-year member of the Williams Women’s Crew team and is an NCAA silver medalist.
